Will you send out new invitations or “change the dates”?

We send out a new invitation suite for our 2022 wedding. We do ask that all guests who have received them hold on to their Summer Solstice Adventure Guide as all of the information still applies, and they were quite a process to print and produce. But get excited for more snail mail soon!

Will everyone be invited to the wedding on the new date?

While the answer in 2020 was that we absolutely hoped to invite all to the celebration, no matter the year, we now are faced with the reality of COVID-19 implications, precautions, and regulations that have extended into 2021 and may still impact 2022 weddings. For everyone's safety and to stay within the laws of New York State, we are re-evaluating our guest list and will send out "Save the Weekends" to all those invited shortly. We will make sure to have conversations with those with whom we wish we could still celebrate in the coming weeks.

Will you do anything between now and the new celebration date?

We hope to! We hope to celebrate our engagement in the fall once more are vaccinated, and the new additional time before the wedding weekend may allow for other traditional Algerian and American events such as a bachelor and bachelorette, bridal shower, or trip to the closest thing to a hammam. These events will have their own invitations which will be sent by e-mail.

What can we do to make you smile?

First and foremost, we would like all of you to stay healthy… which means we would love to receive photos of you getting vaccinated. We are so close to being out of this, and moving forward still means taking precautions until we all get vaccinated and near herd immunity. So please consider getting vaccinated when the vaccine is available to you. That being said, we are pretty bummed that we do not get to see you all together. Nothing can truly replace a summer solstice camping trip, and especially not one with everyone you love that has been cancelled two years in a row. So please stay in touch! We would love to receive mail, especially children’s art, art that looks like it was made by children, postcards, letters, and gnomes.
