Travel + Reservations
When should I cancel my flight reservation?
As soon as you are able. Different airlines have different policies regarding cancellation and rebooking, and you should check in with yours to see what their policy is. COVID-19 travel policies for each of the following airlines are linked: Air France, American, Delta, Southwest, Spirit, and United, As airfare is quite cheap right now, we highly recommend purchasing refundable, flexible tickets for the new weekend soon if you know you will be able to attend next year.
What should I do about my Firelight Camps glamping reservation?
Per our request, Firelight Camps is rolling over all booked and confirmed reservations to next year at the same per night rate. Should any guest want to cancel their reservation, please reach out to us and we will connect you to the right person at Firelight. Full refunds will be issued up to one month before the date of arrival in 2022. If you would like to receive a refund and rebook your stay later, you will be subject to the 2022 nightly rates (as opposed to the current 2018 rates.) We strongly suggest leaving your reservation as is unless you already know you will be unable to attend next year. We are also happy to assist in tent switches as available should there be the need. Tent switches that can be made involve the number of beds in a tent and/or tent mates.
What should I do about my Firelight Camps camping reservation?
As this is not normally something done at Firelight Camps, the ten people choosing to “Bring Your Own Tent” will still be able to do so. We will send you a corrected form with the new dates that we will need completed by January 2022.
What should I do about my La Tourelle reservation?
La Tourelle will refund the full cost of your stay up to three days in advance of your arrival. We recommend not waiting to cancel your reservation, though, and to do so sooner than later. For all of those who will be rebooking La Tourelle next year, we will send a notification when you can rebook through Hotels.com at the reduced rate. We also invite you to monitor Hotels.com for cheaper rates throughout the year. All of these new rates will also adhere to a full cancellation policy up to three days before the wedding.
What should I do about my Airbnb reservation?
Per Airbnb’s cancellation policy last updated on 9 April 2020, full refunds are available for stays through 31 May 2020. As our wedding weekend is currently outside of their coronavirus cancellation policy, your stay will be subject to the cancellation policies agreed to upon reservation. As we cannot negotiate Airbnb cancellation policies as part of our planning process, we suggest contacting your Airbnb host to explain the situation to see if they will allow a full refund or date change.
What should I do about other travel reservations?
If you have rented a car, there is usually flexibility within your reservation to cancel up to a month before your rental. Please coordinate with the company to guarantee a refund. If you chose to take a bus from New York for some unknown reason, please be prepared to lose that money… and contact us to get added to a carpool next year.
